Mine Logistics Solution (MLS) is in process of being deployed in a major open pit mine in southern part of India. The aim is to gather real-time online data from different vehicles and people in the mine; analyzes the data and suggests the optimum usage of assets and hence increase profitability.

Software Architecture

Mining Logistics Solution

Various layers of the software architecture are:
  • Mine Server: It is the basic software block of the software architecture. Residing under this layer is the device communicator, data manager, notifier and the database.
  • Device Communicator Layer: Handles the communication between the supervisor, shovel and dumper in the field and the manager layer.
  • Manager Layer: Directs the data flow to the database and the notifier as required.
  • Notifier: Handles the various mine clients.
  • Mine Clients: It uses various applications, like on-line vehicle monitoring, assisted dispatch control, simulation of equipments (shovel and dumper) required, reports, graphical data analysis, master data management etc.
