Architecture
Depot Manager has client-server architecture with MS SQL 2005 as the Database server.
Electronic Ticketing
- ETM / Smart ETM / Validator communicates with the Depot Manager on the USB / Serial interface.
- Smart card management is done at the central / head office.
- Secured smart card key management is done through Stamping Security Utility (SSU) and Device Stamping Utility (DSU).
MIS
- Apart from the reports available in Depot Manager, Depot Manager Reports Suite runs as an independent application on the Depot Manager database and provides several MIS reports in analytical as well as graphical form.
- RTC Data Sync consolidates the data at the central / head office server from various depots to generate the enterprise level reports.
- Central Management Console (CMC) also generates MIS reports.
Database housekeeping is done through a Backup-Restore Utility, which is a part of the Depot Manager suite. Scheduled Data backup is possible using Windows Scheduler.
