Aftek has developed a Test Jig to automate testing of hardware interfaces and software features and functionality. The tests cover stress testing, regression testing and load testing. Test Jig also saves the cost of product verification and testing.

Testing of multiple interfaces and software modules on hardware boards is a crucial function for hardware manufacturers. Especially when the numbers are large during production, there is a lot of time required for manual testing, and yet it is likely that there is some human error involved. This affects the productivity and production costs rise. Hence, automation testing is a must for such processes.

Test Jig conducts:

Hardware interfaces testing – for production go or no-go. It also provides endurance testing for each hardware interface. Currently supported hardware interfaces are RJ-45 Ports, RJ-11 Ports, RS-485 Ports, RS-232 Ports, USB Ports, Device IO boards, RF devices.

Firmware testing – simulators for given software are implemented on Test Jig. QOS and benchmarks parameters are tested for software functionalities under normal and load/stress conditions. Endurance tests can also be performed for the software.

Reports – help in analyzing failure conditions and patterns to detect software errors at different conditions.
